Contactless DEA Applications

Revolutionizing process control with real-time cure monitoring technology

sensXPERT’s Contactless High-Frequency Dielectric Measurement Technology

Our new contactless measurement technology leverages high-frequency dielectric analysis (HF-DEA) to monitor curing behavior in real time. By analyzing the dielectric properties of materials—such as permittivity and conductivity—it detects molecular changes during the curing process without physical contact. This allows accurate measurements through composite structures up to 40 mm thick, overcoming the limitations of embedded sensors or coupling media in complex geometries and open tooling setups.

Key technical advantages include its ability to dynamically track flow fronts, identify defects like dry spots and air gaps, and measure the degree of polymerization and viscosity trends. These capabilities ensure precise control over curing cycles, enabling manufacturers to optimize process parameters while maintaining strict quality standards. The technology’s evaluation unit processes this data in real time, providing actionable insights for process adjustments during production.

This innovation is compatible with applications such as hydrogen pressure vessel production, continuous manufacturing processes, and aviation patch repairs, where safety and efficiency are critical. By integrating non-contact monitoring with advanced data analysis, it sets a new benchmark for quality assurance and process optimization in high-performance manufacturing environments.
